DC Comics' December 2009 Solicits

There's a fair amount of intriguing books from DC in December. Here's my ongoing feature at Comicsplusblog taking a peek.

Here's the Newsarama complete solicits for December.

Let me know what you think!

Stealth's death was dealt with in the latest ish of REBELS. #8 I believe.

As a Superman fan, I'm just having the best time with the Superbooks right now. Lesser lights and supporting cast are being able to shine and Superman is being shown just how unique he is.

With WoNK (as it's affectionately come to be known on the internets), you've got the galactic landscape taking shape from Hal showing up in #4 as a representative of GL interests for Sector 2814 to Thanagarians in the newest issue and next to Jemm, Son of Saturn and onto Adam Strange.

The Kryptonians have a history of cruelty and oppression stemming from their Great Inquiry when they began colonizing and exploring the rest of the universe. Now that some Kryptonian vestige has returned, they have many enemies--including Earth/the U.S. military-industrial complex.

I'm looking forward to seeing if these growing intergalactic tensions have something to do with the Legion Espionage Squad's presence in the 21st Century and a possible mission to preserve the creation of the United Planets.

LOL, other than REBELS, which I absolutely love, I don't know much about what you're saying!

There was a time when I kept up with the whole DCU, but I've fallen away from the super-books recently. I'm still reading Action Comics, but mainly for the Captain Atom backup, since I don't care for Flamebird or Nightwing. As I said in my little preview, I am interested in all those cosmic guest-stars in WoNK!

LOL

I gotcha. Chances are you'll be exposed to something sooner or later with the Cap Atom co-feature. That one's already starting to factor in prominently with what's going on in the Superbooks.

I'm loving CAFU on that.
